  • Permanent Part time role exists for a Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant (Speech Pathology) at Belmont Community Rehabilitation Centre19 hours per fortnight 

 

About the role

Join an innovative and cohesive Speech Pathology and interdisciplinary team at Belmont Community Rehabilitation Centre (BCRC), where your work will make a positive difference for clients. You will deliver person-centred, evidence-based care under the supervision of Speech Pathologists, contributing to goal-based rehabilitation programs in neurological, orthopaedic, and general community streams. You’ll be supported by a skilled team in a modern, well-equipped environment with a strong, positive workplace culture.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 and group Speech Pathology sessions under the supervision of a Speech Pathologist
  • Assist in clinical and non-clinical tasks to support service delivery and workflow
  • Participate in collaborative, multidisciplinary care and contribute to client goal setting and rehabilitation plans
  • Support and mentor students or junior Allied Health Assistants, as delegated

 

What we’re looking for

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant (or equivalent), with experience or study in a relevant field
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Commitment to learning, professional development, and delivering high-quality, client-centred care
  • Understanding of and commitment to Barwon Health values: respect, compassion, commitment, accountability, and innovation
