About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role
As a Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) you will work within the Occupational Therapy team to deliver high quality administrative support and clinical care to patients within the hand therapy stream. The role includes a range of non-clinical duties to support the provision of hand therapy (eg. actioning referrals, patient phone calls, appointment schedulng, stock ordering and general administration duties). You will be responsible for AHA student supervision and mentoring of junior AHA staff. The role may include provision of AHA support to the wider Occupational Therapy Department as required. You will receive suitable clinical support from our experienced and skilled clinicians.
The successful applicant will have suitable qualifications that meet the selection criteria, as well as ideally have employed experience working in a healthcare setting with patients.
