About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role
The Barwon Health – Deakin University Clinical Trials Alliance will commence operations in 2026. The Alliance will be a transformational partnership, establishing a nationally leading model for integrated clinical trials, research, and healthcare delivery.
The Alliance Officer will play a central role in Alliance establishment and implementation. The Alliance Officer will manage all Barwon Health – Deakin University Clinical Trials Alliance administrative functions, including governance, reporting and financial obligations. They will develop and manage Alliance data, information management and reporting systems and policies and procedures necessary for effective Alliance delivery.
In collaboration with Deakin University, the Alliance Officer will engage and partner with key internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, industry partners, funding bodies and government agencies to promote the Alliance and support its recognition as a leading health service – university collaboration.
The Alliance Officer will advise and support Barwon Health's Clinical and Co-Director of Research on strategic, policy and planning-related issues associated with Alliance implementation and will proactively contribute to Alliance Strategic Plan development and delivery. They will support major Alliance funding applications.
