About the role

The After-Hours Nursing Coordinator is the overarching delegated site manager at the McKellar Centre in the out of business hours period. They are responsible for the safe, effective and efficient management of all facilities, services and resources Additionally they provide leadership phone support for Alan David Lodge and the After-Hours Palliative Care team.

  

Key responsibilities 

  • Clinical & Patient/Resident Care Management – Clinical decision-making, bed allocation, admissions and management of complex patient/resident matters.
  • People & Resource Management – Human resource management, workforce allocation, delegation, material resources, buildings and information systems.
  • Risk, Safety & Incident Management – OH&S, emergency response, incident management/debriefing, serious injuries, security and performance issues.
  • Governance, Compliance & Reporting – SIRS and incident reporting, serious complaints, regulatory compliance, escalation and liaison with external agencies.

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Currently Registered as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Nursing
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • COVID–19 fully vaccinated and up to date influenza vaccination
