About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
These positions will be based at either the North, East or South team Community Health Centres.
About the role
The Administration Team Leader role is responsible for coordinating a small work group who support a single point of entry into many Barwon Health community-based services. The Administration Team Leader supervises day to day activities, maintains appropriate work patterns and ensures current policies and procedures are understood and adhered to. The Administration Team Leader may also consult with consumers as well as internal and external referrers to relay information about accessing Barwon Health services. The Administration Team Leader liaises with the Administration Team Coordinator to seek and provide information as required or requested. A focus of the role is ensuring a high-quality consumer experience at the entry point to many Barwon Health Community services and timely access to care. The Administration Team Leader will also assume responsibility for assisting other programs located on site with administrative tasks, including backfill for administrative staff leave and delegation to administrative staff as appropriate.
