About the role
Join our Surgical Specialist Clinics team as an Administration Officer and play an important role in ensuring patients receive a welcoming, efficient and consumer-focused experience throughout their healthcare journey.
You will provide high-quality administrative and reception support across Surgical Specialist Clinics, managing patient bookings, referrals, appointments and enquiries while working closely with patients, carers, GPs, specialists and internal and external service providers. You’ll also support interpreter and telehealth bookings, maintain accurate patient information and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinics.
This is a great opportunity for an organised and customer-focused administrator who enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment, building positive relationships and making a difference to the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional, consumer-focused reception, telephone and administrative support to patients, carers, GPs and staff
- Coordinate referrals, bookings, appointments, interpreter and telehealth services, ensuring accurate and timely patient information
- Maintain accurate records and data while working collaboratively with internal and external providers to support efficient clinic operations
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal and customer service skills when working with consumers, families and health professionals
- Strong computer literacy, confidence with health technologies and a willingness to learn new systems, with healthcare administration experience desirable
- Demonstrated teamwork, flexibility and a positive attitude, with the ability to manage varied clerical duties and work rostered shifts to meet service needs
