About the role 

Administration Officers are responsible for the delivery of consumer-focused administrative support that ensures equity of access throughout the patients Journey within Surgical Specialist clinics

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Provide professional reception and customer service, including managing patient enquiries, appointments, referrals, and telephone communications to support efficient clinic operations.
  • Coordinate administrative processes through the iPM Patient Administration System, including referral registration, appointment scheduling, rebooking, data entry, and maintenance of accurate patient records in line with Barwon Health policies.
  • Liaise effectively with patients, carers, GPs, specialists, interpreters, and diagnostic service providers to ensure safe, timely, and coordinated care delivery across Specialist Clinics.
  • Support daily operational and administrative functions across Barwon Health Specialist Clinic sites, contributing to a collaborative team environment and assisting patients with telehealth and available support services.

  • Demonstrated high-level of customer service Computer literacy and embracing of health technologies and informatics.

  • Flexibility to attend to a variety of clerical duties
