About the role

As the Women's, Children's and Families Administration Lead, this role is responsible for supporting recruitment, training, rostering and daily administrative operations of the Women's,Children's and Families (WC&F's) specialist clinics administrations services. You will map Directorate administration processes and develop Standard operating procedures for utilisation across administration staff in the Directorate. You will also develop and deliver high quality administration training programs for all staff in administration roles within the Directorate and who are required to use Barwon Health’s Patient Administration System (currently iPMs).  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead, mentor and support a high-performing administration team, providing day-to-day operational leadership, workforce coordination, recruitment support and performance monitoring
  • Develop, deliver and maintain comprehensive onboarding, training and education programs to build capability and ensure best practice in patient administration systems and processes
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships across the Women's, Children's and Families Directorate, promoting continuous improvement, staff engagement and a positive team culture
  • Coordinate key operational functions including roster support, room allocation planning, data quality initiatives and administrative governance to ensure efficient service delivery

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Tertiary qualification or experience in healthcare administration within a fast-paced hospital or medical environment
  • Strong communication, organisational and computer skills, with the ability to manage priorities and build effective working relationships
  • Proactive, adaptable and collaborative, with a high level of initiative, integrity and flexibility to support operational needs
