About the role
This administration role supports Barwon Health’s Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) across multiple sites in the Geelong region. As part of a flexible and responsive workforce, you will provide clerical, reception and administrative support to ensure consumers receive timely, respectful and effective care.
Working across a range of community-based teams, this role provides essential backfill support during periods of leave, helping services run smoothly and maintaining continuity of care for people experiencing mental health and/or AOD challenges.
This is a dynamic role suited to someone adaptable, organised and confident working across different environments. Travel between sites is a core requirement of the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide reception, clerical and administrative support across multiple MHDAS sites
- Deliver high-quality, courteous service to consumers, families and staff
- Manage appointments, bookings, calendars, rooms and resources
- Accurately enter data and maintain clinical records across systems (e.g. TCM, BOSS, iPMS)
- Scan, label and manage documentation in line with organisational requirements
- Support service continuity by providing admin cover across teams
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding appointments, delays and changes
- Participate in orientation and support of new staff as required
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in administration, reception or customer service (health or community services desirable)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Confident communicator with a professional and compassionate approach
- Ability to work independently across different sites and adapt to new teams
- Comfortable using multiple systems and learning new processes
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the Geelong region
