About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
We are a growing, young and expanding strong unit, with 5-6 contemporary trained consultants whom all have sub-specialty skills for undertaking additional fellowship training after gaining their FRACS(OMS). Our numbers in the annual regional audit reflect the quality of work we do in becoming one of the leading centers in Victoria, matching and equaling other larger metropolitan tertiary centres volume of work. We have become a sought after rotation amongst trainees in Victoria, due to level of supervision, the case mix and the positive focus we have towards patient care and training.
