About Barwon Health

About the Role

The Barwon Physician Training program is a smaller, personal, tailored and comprehensive program designed to progress trainees through BPT1-3 and provide them with the best opportunity possible to progress to their preferred Advanced Training Program. The Barwon Physician Training program consistently achieves pass marks well above state and national averages for both the Adult Medicine written and clinical exams. The program is extremely supportive of our trainees with a diverse educational program. Nearly all graduates of the Barwon Physician Training program successfully proceed to the specialty program of their choice, frequently at Barwon Health. There are also opportunities for trainees to complete their entire Advanced Training in General and Acute Care Medicine through the Barwon Health network should they desire to remain in the region throughout their training.
