About the role

The Greater Geelong and Borough of Queenscliff (GGQ) Mental Health and Wellbeing Local is a consortium of Barwon Health, Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative, Wellways Australia and ermha365. Built on the Royal Commission's vision, it offers accessible, integrated support that starts with a simple question: "Welcome, how can we help?"

With Department of Health funding, the Local is expanding into the bushfire-affected Colac Otway region. As Senior Clinician, you'll deliver assessment and evidence-informed therapy while supervising and supporting the clinical team, and working closely with local partners including Colac Area Health, Colac Otway Shire and the CFA.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver recovery-oriented assessment and interventions for consumers and families
  • Provide clinical supervision and lead the professional development of the team
  • Drive quality improvement, KPI reporting and accreditation activities for the service

 

What We Are Looking For

  • An experienced senior clinician with advanced therapeutic skills and a passion for leading recovery-oriented, trauma-informed community care. Experience in disaster recovery or brief intervention is highly regarded.
  • Qualifications in psychiatric nursing, OT, social work or psychology (clinical or forensic endorsement), with AHPRA registration (or AASW eligibility)
  • Advanced skills in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns
  • Experience providing clinical supervision, and a current Victorian driver's licence
