Mental Health Clinician, Colac Local Bushfire Recovery

About the role  

The Greater Geelong and Borough of Queenscliff (GGQ) Mental Health and Wellbeing Local is a consortium of Barwon Health, Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative, Wellways Australia and ermha365. Built on the Royal Commission's vision, it offers accessible, integrated support that starts with a simple question: "Welcome, how can we help?" 

With Department of Health funding, the Local is expanding into the bushfire-affected Colac Otway region. As the Mental Health Clinician, you will provide assessment, therapy and recovery-focused care to consumers and families, working alongside consortium partners, peer workers and psychiatry. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Complete intake, screening and risk assessments, and provide evidence-informed therapies 

• Develop care plans with consumers and carers, and coordinate care with partners 

• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service improvement 

What We Are Looking For 

• An experienced mental health clinician passionate about recovery-oriented, trauma-informed community care. Experience in disaster recovery or AOD is highly regarded. 

• Qualifications in psychiatric nursing, OT, social work or psychology, with AHPRA registration (or AASW eligibility) 

• Strong clinical and risk assessment skills in a community setting 

• Current Victorian driver's licence
